a) Preparing to travel to New Zealand by air

b) Visa Requirements & Tourism Levies

The New Zealand Government requires that all visitors to the country have a visa. If you’re from a visa waiver country this requirement is waived, but you must still hold a New Zealand electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) before you travel.

The cost of an NZeTA is $17 through the downloadable app, or $23 online. Processing time varies between 1 hour and 72 hours.

In addition to a visa or a New Zealand electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), all visitors to New Zealand must also pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL). The cost is NZ$35.

You can request an NZeTA and pay for the NZeTA and IVL online. 

 c) Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

As of September 13 2022, you do not need proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter New Zealand.
